Welcome to iGiftVerse ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our AI-powered gift recommendation service at igiftverse.com, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal identifying information (name, email, phone number) to use iGiftVerse. The only information processed is what you voluntarily enter into the gift finder form:
- Recipient relationship, age range, and gender (optional)
- Personality tags, occasion, budget range, and gift vibe
- Optional free-text refinement notes
None of these inputs are tied to your identity and are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Gift Recommendations: Your form inputs are sent to the Anthropic Claude AI API solely to generate personalised gift rankings and reasons. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of API data.
- Amazon Product Search: We query the Amazon product catalogue using your preference inputs to find matching products. No personal data is shared with Amazon.
- Affiliate Tracking: Product links include our Amazon Associates affiliate tag (
igiftverse-21). When you click a link and make a purchase, Amazon may set cookies to track the referral. Please review Amazon's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies required for the website to function (e.g. session state). We do not use advertising tracking cookies on our own domain. However, Amazon.in may set cookies when you click affiliate product links, as described in their own privacy policy.
If we add analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) in future, this policy will be updated to reflect that.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties. Data is shared only with:
- Anthropic — for AI ranking (anonymised preference inputs only)
- RapidAPI / Amazon — for product search (query keywords only)
5. Data Retention
We do not persistently store any form inputs or recommendation results. All processing happens in-memory on a per-request basis.
6. Children's Privacy
iGiftVerse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Your Rights
